The first thing that will strike you about the York, a two bedroom, two bath apartment in the Commonwealth at York in York County, VA, is the granite counter top. It’s a little bit lower than your traditional breakfast bar, but don’t let that faze you. This is the perfect height to roll out dough, to chop onions and to do homework. The breakfast bar and counter top are seamlessly integrated to create one giant workspace. The rest is up to you.
A beautiful granite was chosen, “Mountain White,” which coordinates with your espresso Concord cabinetry and sleek GE appliances (including microwave) in stainless steel and black. In the back of all this, a white subway backsplash creates a sharp line and is also durable and cleanable. A deep drop in double sink and a full size pantry completes the kitchen area. Beyond the door you will find more storage shelves and full sized washer dryer hook ups (bring your own or we will supply them).
In the living room, there is space for a couch and love seat combo in front of the electric fireplace with TV/art niche. Enjoy a view of our natural areas, or if you like to see the action, pick an apartment that faces the front and keep an eye on the neighborhood. Divided by the living room are the two private bedrooms, one with an en suite and the other with the bathroom and a closet conveniently located right outside its door. Both feature walk in closets with space for all your clothes.
Returning to the main living area, let’s explore the full size dining area with a computer nook and extra storage located on the right hand side. A four or six person table fits comfortably here or use the space for a desk, if that is what you need. Our floor plans are flexible spaces that you can design to meet your personal needs.
Speaking of flexible, at Commonwealth at York you can maintain your flexibility at our on site yoga room, with on free demand classes, or work out in the 24 hour fitness center. Enjoy a game of pool in our clubhouse or sit by the pool. All of our common areas, including our outdoor seating, have free Wi-Fi and plenty of comfortable seats and great scenery for you to enjoy. Bring hot dogs and hamburgers and use the grill or just bring a book and turn on the fireplace, there’s always something to do outdoors here at Commonwealth.
